Description

Cove Farm Cottage is a small farmhouse dating from the 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of painted granite rubble with granite dressings and features scantle slate roofs with dressed granite chimneys at the gable end. The building has a small rectangular two-room plan and includes two single-storey 20th-century lean-tos at the rear, which is likely the original front of the house.

The cottage stands two storeys high and has one window on the north-west front, which is probably the original rear wall. There are ground floor windows on both the left and right, with a first-floor window located a short distance above the right-hand window. The left window is possibly a 19th-century nine-pane sash, while the right side has two late 19th-century or 20th-century four-pane horned sashes. The openings may be original or from the 19th century. The interior has not been inspected. Cove Farm Cottage is part of a group of unspoiled buildings in the picturesque Penberth valley.
