Description
Cliff Cottage is a fisherman's house with an integral former fish cellar, dating from around the mid-19th century. It is constructed from granite rubble with granite dressings and features a scantle slate roof with brick chimneys at the gable ends. The building has a rectangular plan and has been remodelled from a fisherman's cellar to include a loft and likely accommodation for fishermen.
The exterior is two storeys high with an irregular three-window front facing south-west. The first-floor left and middle openings are original, while the ground floor left-hand window has been remodelled from an original doorway. The other openings date from the late 19th or 20th century. There is a four-panel door with an overlight, which is from the late 19th or 20th century, and the windows are 20th-century four-pane horned sashes. The interior has not been inspected.
