Description
This is a house dating from the early to mid-19th century, located approximately 8 meters north of the Angarrack Inn. It is constructed from killas and granite rubble with granite dressings, and it may have been stuccoed in the past. The roof is hipped and covered with scantle slate, featuring projecting eaves. There are brick chimneys located on the left-hand wall, the rear wall towards the right, and over the gable end of a service wing that is set back at the far left.
The house has a double depth plan with two equal reception rooms at the front, separated by an entrance hall that leads to a stair hall and rear service rooms. To the left, there is a set-back service wing, which is possibly from the later 19th century. The exterior is two stories high and features a symmetrical three-window front facing southwest, with a central doorway. The original doors and windows include a four-panel door with a six-pane overlight and twelve-pane hornless sash windows. The right-hand side has a door and window towards the rear, while the rear stair window has marginal panes.
The interior has not been inspected but is likely to retain its original features and joinery. The front garden is enclosed by stuccoed walls topped with a low granite coping and features a central entrance. There are round-headed granite monolithic piers and 19th-century cast iron railings.
