ST GORAN SW 94 SE 3/86 Range of barns about 10 metres - south west of Trevennen Farmhouse

GV II

Range of barns. Mid C19, with few later alterations. Slatestone rubble with granite dressings and quoins. Hipped slate roofs with ridge tiles; some asbestos slate and corrugated iron roofing. Plan: A large L-plan range of barns, containing stables and cart sheds, with lofts over. The main range is to right, with a wing projecting to front left. Exterior: The main range is 2-storey, nearly symmetrical, with nine openings at first floor, all with cambered granite arches and granite jambs; these are arranged with a central loading door, with two windows, a second loading door and a further window to each side. At ground floor there is a central cart entrance with cambered granite arch; there is a cart entrance and two doorway to left and right, with a small C20 addition to front right. The wing to front left is also 2-storey. At first floor there are five opening, all with cambered granite arches, a window loading door, 3 windows and one further loading door. At ground floor there are 3 single doorway and 2 cart entrances with concrete lintels. Interior: Not inspected.
