Description

Kelvin House and Warrawee are a pair of attached houses built around 1780, with some alterations from the late 20th century. The ground floor is rendered and lined out, while the first and second floors are hung with slate. They have a hipped slate roof with a shared central chimney stack.

The houses are designed with a double depth plan, each featuring one front room that adjoins at the center, with entrances located at the left and right ends of the front. They stand three storeys tall on a plinth, presenting a symmetrical façade, with each house consisting of one bay. Warrawee, on the left, has a four-panelled door with an overlight featuring decorative glazing bars, a cornice supported by consoles, and an eight-pane and plate glass sash window to the right; it has 20th-century sash windows on the first and second floors. Kelvin House, on the right, has a similar door with a plain overlight and a pedimental feature above, along with a four-pane sash window to the left and sash windows on the first and second floors. A dentil cornice runs across the top of both houses.

Inside, Warrawee features good panelling in the entrance passage, while the rest of the interior is not accessible but likely retains additional features such as panelling, fireplaces, and a staircase. The interior of Kelvin House has not been inspected.
