Description

LANSALLOS LANSALLOS STREET, (north side), SX 2050-2150 Polperro 6/52 House adjoining Polhaven to the east - GV II

House. Possibly early C18 remodelled in mid C19. Rendered stone rubble with rendered quoins. Slate roof with gabled ends. Stone rubble chimney stack on right- hand gable end with brick shaft. Single-room plan with entrance lobby. Extended to rear with wing of single-room plan. 2 storeys and attic. Asymmetrical single-window front remodelled in mid C19. Ground floor with steps leading down to entrance on left with 4-panelled door. 4-pane sash to right. First floor with C19 4-pane sash above that of ground floor. C20 window with top lights above with raking roof breaking eaves. Interior with C19 joinery. Ground floor left partition between this house and passage of Polhaven (qv), is a possibly reused timber plank and muntin screen with sole plate which is possibly moulded. Included for group value.
