Description

This granary, located approximately 80 metres north of Trebartha Barton, dates from the mid-19th century. It features a timber frame that is hung with slates on the exterior and is raised above the ground on granite staddle stones. The roof is slate with hipped ends. The granary has a rectangular plan and is supported by six rows of three staddle stones. There is an entrance in the side wall, which includes a plank door accessed by a flight of granite steps, with at least one step made from earlier dressed stone. The staddle stones have square-on-plan tapered shafts with round tops. Inside, the walls are timber panelled to dado level, with plaster above, and the internal divisions have been removed.
