Description

The gate piers and flanking walls at the road entrance south-west of the Vicarage were built around the late 19th century. They are constructed from killas rubble and dressed granite, featuring scantle slate copings topped with clay ridge tiles. The wide gateway is marked by square-on-plan gate piers that are flanked by concave segmental-on-plan walls. The tall granite ashlar piers have slate caps, while the walls are slightly lower in height.
