Description

The Vicarage is a house dating to the late 19th century. It is constructed of rubble walls and has steep, dry Delabole slate half-hipped roofs. There are rubble chimney stacks, one at the front right gable end, one axial stack towards the right, and a third on the left. The house follows an irregular double-depth plan, with a service wing set back on the left. At the front, a stair hall and entrance hall are centrally located, and to the right are two reception rooms, with windows along the garden front. The design incorporates some Gothic style features.

The two-storey south-west entrance front is irregular, with the half-hipped end of the entrance and stair hall projecting forward on the right, and the gable end of the garden front also projecting. The service wing is set back on the left. Segmental arches feature over most openings. A pointed arched doorway, with a freestone surround, is located right of the middle, leading to an original six-panel door set back within. A small window is positioned above the doorway, and a tall stair window is to the left. The windows are original horned sashes. The interior has not been inspected. The exterior elevations remain unaltered.
