Description
The gate-piers, gates, and flanking walls located approximately 60 metres south-east of Rose House date from the mid-19th century. They are constructed from killas rubble and dressed granite. The design features a wide gateway with square piers and flanking concave quadrant walls that connect to roadside walls. The gate-piers have monolithic granite shafts topped with moulded and ramped pyramidal granite caps. The granite copings on the walls match the section of the pier caps. Original ornate arch-braced cast-iron gates are present. The adjoining walls enclose a rectangular garden in front of the house, and the walls are ramped up towards the angle where they meet the walls flanking the house.
