Description
The Gill Monument is a headstone located in the churchyard about 10 metres north of the tower of the Church of St Dennis. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of granite and slate. The granite headstone features a cornice and shaped necking leading to a central finial adorned with a carved quatrefoil. The sides are decorated with swept scrolling. There is an inset slate inscription panel that has a two-centred arched head and recessed spandrels with a trefoil design. The monument is dedicated to Mary Gill and is dated 1801.
