Description
The Gwilliam Monument is a pedestal tomb located approximately 35 meters west of the west tower of the Church of St Giles in Goodrich. It dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century and is constructed of ashlar stone. The monument features a square set moulded plinth and capping, with a damaged base where a finial once stood. It has gadrooned corner balusters and paterae above each, set against an implied reeded frieze. The rectangular inscription panels are plain, but the inscriptions are largely illegible. The monument commemorates a person named Gwilliam, who died in 1789.
