ST ISSEY SW 96 NW 7/220 Trelow Cottage to north east of Trelow Farmhouse

Farmhouse, now disused. Circa late C18, extended in early C19. Stone rubble, slate hung with rag slates on front. Cement washed scantle slate roof with gable ends continued over service outshut to rear. End stacks and end stacks to service outshut to rear all with brick shafts. Plan: Double depth plan with entrance slightly to right of centre. Original plan probably with 2 principal rooms to front, heated by end stacks with service room probably to rear left, forming an overall 'L' shaped plan. Further extended probably to rear right in early C19 forming a double depth plan. Exterior: 2 storeys. Slate hung regular 2 window front. C19 porch slightly to right of centre with scantle slate hipped roof and C19 door. C19 24-pane horned sash to left and 6-pane horned sash to right. First floor with C19 16-pane sash to left and C19 20-pane sash to right. Interior: Complete with internal partitions and circa early C19 dog-leg stair to rear of passage. Probably reset C18 fireplace surround in service room to right.
