Description
The walls and piers located about 40 metres west of Mount Edgcumbe House date from the 18th century. They are constructed from sandstone rubble with stone dressings. The walls form an L-shaped plan, measuring approximately 10 metres by 20 metres and standing about 3 metres high, topped with stone coping. In the east/west section, there is a gateway flanked by square rubble piers that are slightly taller than the walls. These piers have a square top that supports a circular base for a ball finial.
