Description

The coach house located to the east of Nos. 1 to 5 Barrow Park Flats was built in 1892. It features an ashlar front with stone rubble sides and a back wall. The roof is made of slate, with half-hipped gable ends that have lead rolls along the hips and ridge. This detached block consists of three coach houses or garages, arranged symmetrically at the front. Each of the three doorways has plank double doors with top lights and long strap hinges. Above the doorways, there is a continuous wooden lintel that is chamfered and stopped over the openings. At the center of the roof, there is a wooden dormer designed for a clock, which is styled as an aedicule with pilasters and a pediment, featuring a small coronet and the initials ME.
