Description
Coast Cottage is a house dating from around 1750, with a front that was altered in the mid-19th century and further changes made in the 20th century. The building is constructed of rubble with a stucco front that has been lined out, and it features a slate roof with a brick gable stack on the left side. The layout follows a central passage plan, with the main rooms located to the front right and left, and a door at the rear of the passage that likely leads to a service room.
The house is two storeys high. On the ground floor, there is a central 20th-century door, flanked by 4-pane sash windows on both sides. The first floor has two 4-pane sashes and two flat-roofed dormers added in the 20th century. Inside, the central passage is fully panelled, with panelled doors on both sides and a door with strap hinges at the rear of the passage. The rest of the interior has not been inspected.
