Description
The Treworgey railings, gate, and gate piers, located approximately 65 metres south of the clock tower in Liskeard, date from 1832 and are marked with the initials 'HB' on the hasp. The structure features wrought-iron railings set atop rubble walls with granite coping. Flanking the wide close-barred wrought-iron gate, which has a curved top rail, are dressed granite gate piers that are square in plan and topped with ball finials. The railings display a design of alternating straight and curvilinear bars, with turned finials that are screwed in place.
