Description

Walls, railings, gatepiers and gates on the north and east sides of the forecourt at Tregothnan date from around 1860. They are made of stone and cast iron. The gatepiers are constructed from ashlar, featuring octagonal shafts on square bases with decorative caps, some of which are topped by sea lions holding the Falmouth arms. The railings have a Gothic design and are supported by a low stone wall. There are double gates set between the piers.
