Description

Tregothnan Park features a ha-ha wall located to the southwest of Tregothnan, built around 1860. This wall is constructed from limestone ashlar and is low with buttressing on the park side, topped with a moulded coping. The ha-ha ditch was excavated in 1984. The wall is likely part of improvements made between 1845 and 1848 by Lewis Vulliamy for the second Earl of Falmouth, although it may also date back to work done by William Wilkins between 1816 and 1818 for the fourth Viscount Falmouth.
