Description
The gates, gate piers, and railings located immediately north of the north lodge to Lyston House, about 200 yards north of Lyston House, are likely from the early 19th century. They are made of cast iron, wrought iron, and sandstone. The gates and railings feature stick bars that sweep up to cast iron piers, which have two recessed panels on each face and bud finials. The outer ends of the railings connect to square-section sandstone piers topped with ball finials.
