Description
This is a chest tomb located in the churchyard of the Church of St Genesius, approximately 5 metres south of the church. It dates from the late 16th century and commemorates Benet Mill, who died in 1593, and Christopher Bligh, who is related to Captain Bligh of "The Bounty." The tomb is made of granite and features moulded granite pilasters with recessed panels on the sides. The lid is inscribed with large rustic letters that do not have serifs.
