Description

MADRON MADRON SW 43 SE 7/150 Pengelly chest tomb and headstone - at approximately 2 metres north of Church of St Maddern GV II Chest tomb and headstone. Early C19. Granite ashlar chest with incised slate inset to lid and dressed elvan headstone. The chest is to Richard Pengelly, died 1818 aged 80. Rectangular plan with square plinth, ashlar sides and moulded lid. The headstone is to William Pengelly, died 1808. Shaped head, incised inscription.
