House And Adjoining Outbuilding 10 Metres To North Of Pethins

This is a house and an adjoining outbuilding, located 10 metres to the north of Pethins, likely built in the 18th century. The structure is made of stone rubble with granite quoins and features a slate roof with gable ends, including at least one early crested ridge tile. There are stone rubble end stacks. The building has a double depth plan with the entrance slightly to the right of centre. The larger principal room on the front left may have once served as a shop. On the right-hand end, there is a lean-to outshut.

The exterior is two storeys high and has an almost symmetrical two-window front. To the right of centre is a 19th-century door with a slate hood. To the right of this door is a 19th-century 16-pane sash window with a dressed stone arch, likely dating from the late 19th century. There is a canted bay window, possibly from the former shop, and a 1-light window to the left. On the first floor, there are two 19th-century 16-pane sash windows. An adjoining small outbuilding made of stone rubble is located on the right-hand end. The interior has not been inspected.
