Description

Strayerpark Farmhouse is likely from the early 19th century. It is built of stone rubble with a rag slate roof, featuring gable ends. Brick shafts are present for end stacks, and a projecting stone rubble rear lateral stack has a brick shaft. The farmhouse follows a double-depth plan with an almost central entrance. The two main rooms at the front are heated by end stacks, and the kitchen at the rear left is heated by a rear lateral stack.

The exterior is two storeys high and almost symmetrical, with a three-window front. An almost central 19th-century six-panel door, protected by a slate hood, is flanked by two 19th-century three-light casement windows, each set within a dressed stone arch. Three 19th-century two-light casement windows are on the first floor. The 19th-century casements retain their original crown glass, and several windows have stanchion bars. A lower outshut is located on the left-hand side. The interior was not inspected.
