Description

This is a road bridge over the Penpont Water, located to the south of Polyphant. It was likely built in the mid-19th century and is made of stone rubble and granite. The bridge features three spans and is constructed in a clapper type design. It has roughly constructed stone rubble and granite piers with cutwaters on the west side. The roadway consists of several large pieces of granite that serve as lintels, spanning the stream between the piers.
