Description
The ice house, located about 100 metres north of Cotehele House, is likely from the 18th century. It is constructed of slatestone rubble with granite dressings. The structure is built into the bank, featuring rubble retaining walls on either side of the doorway. The doorway has granite jambs and a plain granite lintel, and it is fitted with a 20th-century plank door that has strap hinges. The interior is not accessible, but it is noted to have a granite roof.
