Description

CALSTOCK LOWER KELLY, Calstock SX 4268-4368 9/243 Limekiln II Limekiln. Early C19 ; raised in height circa 1860, when the incline plane was constructed over the limekiln. Slatestone rubble. Plan: Rectangular plan kiln with 2 wells and one arch to the front ; unusually tall, about 14 metres. The limekiln has one round arch with stone dressings to front.
