Description
Waterside is a house located in Calstock, dating from the early to mid-19th century, with few later alterations. It is constructed of painted stone rubble and has a slate roof with ridge tiles and gable ends, featuring gable end stacks with brick shafts.
The house faces the road and is built into the bank, with a basement at the rear that overlooks the River Tamar. It has a two-room plan with a central entrance, and each room is heated by a gable end stack.
On the road front, the house is two stories and asymmetrical. The ground floor has a central four-panelled door with an overlight, and to the right, there is a 12-pane sash window from the 19th century, which has external 20th-century shutters. The right side of the house features a single 20th-century light at the first floor, while the left side has a single 20th-century light at both the basement and ground floor. At the rear, the basement includes three 20th-century windows and a 20th-century glazed door. The ground and first floors each have two 12-pane sash windows with cambered brick arches.
The interior has not been inspected.
