Description

The Lodge is a farmhouse located on the Cotehele estate, dating from the mid to late 19th century, with few later alterations. It is constructed of stone rubble with granite dressings and features a slate roof with ridge tiles and gable ends, along with two axial stacks made of granite ashlar that have cornices.

The building has a two-room plan, with the left room slightly set back. At the center of the front and rear, there is a shallow projecting wing, and the porch is positioned in the angle of the front wing to the left. The exterior presents an asymmetrical two-storey front. The porch has a hipped roof and a plain door. The central gabled two-storey wing has chamfered granite casements, with three lights on the ground floor and two lights on the first floor. To the right, there is a single light at both the ground and first floors, while the left side has similar casements and three single lights leading to the porch. At the rear, the left bay contains a door, and the right bay has a single light on both floors. The gabled two-storey wing features chamfered granite casements, with three lights on the ground floor and two lights on the first floor, as well as similar windows on the left side of the wing, which has a small gable above the first-floor window. The interior has not been inspected.
