Description

Streets Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the early to mid-19th century, with later alterations from the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed from slatestone rubble, featuring Pentewan stone dressings and quoins. The roof is hipped and covered with slurried scantle slate, topped with ridge tiles, and there is an axial stack with a rendered shaft.

The layout consists of a double depth plan, with a central entrance leading to the principal room on the front right. There is a second principal room located at the rear right, which faces the garden. To the front left is a small service room, with the stair hall situated at the left center. A one-room kitchen wing is located at the rear left, heated by a gable end stack.

The exterior is two storeys high and features a symmetrical three-window front. The central door, dating from the 20th century, has an overlight and is sheltered by a 19th-century gabled hood supported by brackets. The first floor displays three 19th-century 16-pane sash windows, each with cambered stone arches and keystones. On the left side, there is a 20th-century lean-to porch with an 8-panelled 19th-century inner door, and to the right at ground floor is another 19th-century 16-pane sash window. The first floor has a central 19th-century 20-pane sash window that illuminates the stair.

The service wing on the left is also two storeys tall, featuring 20th-century windows on both floors and a 20th-century plank door, with a blind gable end. The right side of the building is the garden front, which has two 19th-century 16-pane sashes at ground floor and one central 16-pane sash at first floor, all with cambered stone arches and keystones. At the rear, there are two 19th-century 16-pane sashes on both floors, again with cambered stone arches and keystones.

The interior has not been inspected but may still contain notable features from the 19th century, such as staircase and joinery details.
