Description
This ice house, located about 250 metres north-west of Pentillie Castle, is likely from the late 18th century. It is constructed of slatestone rubble and features a small gable-ended design with a stone roof and a rectangular plan. The front gable end includes a doorway with a flat arch, keystone, and voussoirs, along with a string course above. There are no windows present. Inside, the building has a stone vaulted roof and a drain on the rear wall, which may have been used to channel a stream from outside.
