Description

The structure is a probable ice house, likely dating from the 18th century. It is built from local red sandstone rubble and is rectangular in shape, located at the rear of Chelston Cottage. There is a small opening on the west side, and it is said to consist of a deep shaft. This ice house is included for its group value with Chelston Cottage.
