Description
WERRINGTON SX 38 NW 9/281 South Lodge to Polapit Tamar - GV II
Lodge. Circa mid C19. Stone rubble with yellow brick dressings. Rag slate roof, the lower ranges with deep overhanging eaves and gable ends. Higher range has a rag slate pyramid roof with deep overhanging eaves. Moulded brick shafts to the axial and end stacks. Plan: Overall 'T' shape plan comprising 3 rooms; left hand room heated by end stack and cross wing on right hand has a principal room at front and service room to rear. Entrance in angle of left hand room and cross wing. Exterior: Lower ranges to left and rear right with gable ends and deep overhanging eaves. Front range of cross wing on right has a higher pyramidal roof with deep overhanging eaves. Asymmetrical front elevation with rag slate roof to verandah to right, continuing around front and sides of higher range and forming porch for entrance which is in angle with lower range on left. C19 12-pane sash on left and in first floor to right. Interior: Not inspected.
