Description
The Blue Peter is a public house located on Lansallos Quay Road in Polperro, dating from the early 19th century. The building is constructed from rendered and painted stone rubble, topped with a cement washed slate roof featuring gable ends. The ridge of the roof is raised on the right side due to an extension added to the rear. A large stone rubble chimney stack is positioned at the front, with a sloping left-hand gable end and a rear lateral chimney stack serving the extension. The structure is built into the side of a steep slope, providing an additional entrance on the first floor of the left-hand gable end. The building has three storeys and a regular two-window front. The ground floor openings have been altered, featuring two 20th-century bow windows flanking a 20th-century door set within an open rendered porch that has a slate roof. The first floor includes two casement windows, with a small window to the right and two late 19th-century casements above.
