Studio Cottage

Studio Cottage is a late 18th-century cottage situated on Lansallos Quay Road, in Polperro. The construction is of painted stone rubble, with a cement-washed rag slate roof and gable ends, featuring two roof lights. The cottage has a single-depth, two-room plan and an asymmetrical three-window front.

The ground floor has a part-glazed door positioned to the left of centre, sheltered by a slate lean-to hood. To the right of the door are two top-hung windows of 20th-century origin. The first floor features a six-pane window, a small rectangular window, and a 20th-century two-light casement with glazing bars. Two roof lights are integrated into the front roof slope. The rear elevation, overlooking the harbour, has ground-floor window openings in what were formerly blocked entrances. The first floor has casement windows.

The cottage is built upon the stone rubble walls of the harbour, with a pier located directly to the north. It is included on the list for its group value.
