Description
Troy is a house dating from the early 18th century, constructed from painted and rendered stone rubble with a slate roof featuring gable ends. It has large stone rubble chimney stacks on the gable ends, with the right-hand gable end having a projecting chimney stack. The building follows a two-room and cross passage plan, with a larger kitchen hall located on the right side. It is built into the side of a hill and has two storeys with an almost symmetrical three-window front. The ground floor features two 20th-century three-light casements without glazing bars and a door to the left of center. Above, there are three two-light casements. A slate string runs above the window on the left-hand gable end. There are later extensions on the gable ends. The interior has not been inspected. The house occupies an important position high above the south side of Polperro harbour.
