Description

6 Green Market is an early 19th-century building featuring slate hanging painted on its facade. The gable is designed to resemble a pediment. The structure stands three storeys tall and has two sash windows with glazing bars and exposed casing. It is topped with a slate roof. The ground floor is supported by four square fluted columns, which are adorned with a frieze and a modillion cornice above. The shop front is set back and includes reeded framing around the windows and a central doorway. This building, along with Nos 3 to 7 Green Market and the White Lion Hotel, as well as Nos 1 to 3 Alverton Street, forms a cohesive group.
