Description
20 and 22 Church Street is an early 19th-century building featuring two storeys. The facade has a one-three-one arrangement of sash windows, with the central windows separated by full-height pilasters. Above the windows, there is a frieze and a large central pediment. The roof is hipped and covered with slate. A central porch with Doric columns includes a frieze, cornice, blocking course, a six-panel door, and an ornamental fanlight. To the east, there is an extension made of red brick, which is partly colourwashed, and this extension also has two storeys with a hipped tile roof and modern windows. The building is part of a group that includes Nos 14 to 24 (even), Nos 24A, 24B, an outhouse to the north of No 18, and the Old King's Head Public House.
