Description

This is a farmhouse and adjoining barn, likely built in the 17th century or early 18th century, which was remodeled, extended, and had its eaves heightened in the 19th century. The structure is made of granite rubble with granite dressings and features a grouted scantle slate roof with gable ends. There is a large brick chimney on one gable end and a stump of a brick chimney on the other gable end, which is part of the house's party wall.

Originally, the farmhouse was designed as a two-room house with a wider hall or kitchen on the left, which includes a large fireplace, and a parlour on the right, with a cross or through passage between them. In the 19th century, a pantry or dairy outshut was added at the rear middle, accessible by external stone steps, and a general-purpose farm building with storage above, likely used as shippons, was added on the right side.

The exterior stands two storeys tall and features a slightly asymmetrical two-window south front with a doorway located to the right of the centre. The door is a 20th-century ledged type, while the windows are 12-pane horned sashes dating from the late 19th or early 20th century. The barn has two doorways, one of which is blocked, along with small window openings.

Inside, the property remains unaltered since the 19th century, showcasing a Cornish iron range in the hall and a horseshoe grate in the parlour.
