Description
The cross near St Maddern's Well, also known as Boswarthen Cross, is a Grade II listed wayside preaching cross from the medieval period. It is made of granite and features a wheel-head design with a short shaft, which is currently cracked. The cross is set in a rounded socketed base. On either side of the slender shaft, there is a patee cross in relief, creating a Latin cross appearance.
