Description
This is a well located approximately 10 meters southeast of Polsue Manor Hotel. The well head dates from the early to mid-19th century but incorporates a 17th-century doorway. It is constructed from granite and brick and has a rectangular shape. The round-headed granite doorway features straight chamfers and stops. Inside, there is a brick barrel vaulted roof. To the left, there are granite steps, and to the right, a reused scrolled granite kneeler stone is set vertically as a guide post. Nearby, elaborate medieval granite finials are used as garden ornaments.
