Description

Pen Pol is a small house dating from the 17th or 18th century. It features painted slatestone rubble and cob walls, topped with a wheat reed thatched roof that partly encloses the gable ends and includes a brick chimney. The house has a two-room plan and stands two storeys high. The west front is slightly irregular and has two windows. There is a nearly central doorway with a top-glazed, four-panel door, and a 20th-century open porch with a domed thatch roof. The windows are 19th-century, two-light casements with small panes, and there is a lean-to on the left side. The interior has not been inspected but is reported to be somewhat altered.
