Description
Harriets is a house from the 18th century that was extended in the 20th century. It features slatestone rubble and cob walls, topped with a wheat reed thatched roof and brick chimneys at the gable ends. Originally designed with a two-room plan, it has been enlarged to the right, and there is a single-storey wing added to the front right in the 20th century. The house is two storeys high and has a nearly symmetrical three-window south front. The boarded door is located off-centre to the right. The ground floor has 20th-century, 16-pane, two-light casements that are copies of 19th-century windows found on the first floor. Inside, the property has bowtell moulded beams, and one fireplace features a chamfered, cambered wooden lintel.
