Description

This is a small house located in Pilleigh, Devon. It was originally built in the 18th century and extended in the 20th century. The house is constructed from slatestone rubble and cob walls, with a wheat reed thatched roof. It has a rendered axial chimney to the right of the original section. Originally comprising two rooms, it now includes a single-room addition.

The south-facing front has two windows and was originally almost symmetrical, with a doorway slightly offset to the right. A further doorway was added in the 20th century to the stone-faced addition on the right side. The original window openings have wooden lintels. The ground floor windows are 16-pane, two-light casements, while the first-floor windows are 12-pane, two-light casements.

Inside, the house features bowtell moulded ceiling beams.
