Description
SW 62 NW BREAGE PELLOR ROAD, Breage
7/78 Building at approximately 75 metres west of Pellor House, including flanking walls GV II
Garden house, incorporating probably granary, and flanking walls. Circa early C19. Mixed rubble, granite sills, rubble 4-centred arches. Scantle slate semi-conical roof, hipped at rear with brick chimney over rear wall. D-shaped plan with fireplace against straight rear wall linked at either side to tall rubble garden wall. Ground floor entrance in the right hand angle and first floor loading doorway at the middle of the bowed front over a ground floor window. First floor window to either side. Gothic style. All openings with steep 4-centred arched heads except the ground floor middle window. C20 ledge doors with integral top lights and C20 casement windows. Interior not inspected. This is a very unusual building type, probably a granary, dressed up as a Gothick folly.
