SW 73 NE PERRANARWORTHAL COVE HILL, (east side), Perranarworthal 3/331 Waterwheel at approx 50m south west of Oak Tree House

GV II

Waterwheel. Circa late C19. Cast iron wheel segments and wrought iron spokes, originally with wooden paddles. All bolted together. Overshot type operated by piped leat and used to operate ram to pump water to storage well for Oak Tree House qv. The iron work for this wheel was probably manufactured at the nearby Perran Foundry qv.
