Description

The farm buildings immediately southwest of Higher Trevedran Farmhouse consist of a barn, cartsheds, and stables, dating from around the mid-19th century. They are constructed from granite rubble with granite dressings and feature scantle slate roofs with gable ends, except for the corrugated iron covering the cartshed and stables on the left. The overall layout is an irregular U-shape, with a long rectangular barn and two single-storey wings at right angles in front: one wing serves as a cartshed and stables on the left, while the other is a cartshed on the right. The barn was built in two phases, with the original barn on the right containing a threshing floor and opposing first-floor doorways on its left. The barn is two storeys tall, while the additions are single-storey. The elevations remain virtually unaltered, featuring a three-window arrangement on the east-north-east front, with three ground floor doorways (one partly blocked) and small window openings. There is a first-floor loading door towards the right, along with some old ledged doors and windows. The rear of the building has not been inspected, and the interior has also not been inspected.
