Description
SW 73 NE ST GLUVIAS TRELUSWELL
1/137 Farm buildings at approxi- - mately 25 metres north west of Treluswell Mount GV II Farm buildings. Circa early-mid C19. Coursed dressed granite (front of principal barn), otherwise granite rubble with granite dressings. Scantle slate hipped roofs except where replaced with corrugated asbestos over horse-engine house. Plan: Group of farm buildings ranged around a rectangular farmyard. Original 2-storey barn at rear of group has short wing projecting forward on its right linked to a slightly later C19 2-storey barn with horse-engine house on its right. On the left of the original barn, returning at right angles in front and lined to range parallel to the front and linked to range parallel to the front are later C19 single-storey stables and shippons. Exterior: 2 storeys barns, otherwise single storey. Virtually unaltered elevations with most openings original symmetrically south-east 2-window front of original barn has pair of doorways at the middle with loading doorway over. Segmentally- arched doorways with keyblocks at left and right. Other barn has symmetrical 3- window south-west front with doorway under each windows. Interior: not inspected.
