Description
These farm buildings date from the early to mid-19th century and are located approximately 25 meters northwest of Treluswell Mount. The main barn is constructed of coursed dressed granite at the front, while the rest is made of granite rubble with granite dressings. The roofs are mostly hipped with scantle slate, except for the horse-engine house, which has been replaced with corrugated asbestos.
The buildings are arranged around a rectangular farmyard. The original two-storey barn is at the back of the group and has a short wing that projects forward on its right side. This wing is connected to a slightly later two-storey barn that includes the horse-engine house on its right. To the left of the original barn, there are later 19th-century single-storey stables and shippons that return at right angles and align parallel to the front.
The exterior features two-storey barns, while the other buildings are single-storey. The elevations remain largely unaltered, with most openings being original. The southeast front of the original barn has a symmetrical two-window layout with a pair of doorways in the middle and a loading doorway above. There are segmentally-arched doorways with keyblocks on both the left and right sides. The other barn has a symmetrical three-window southwest front, with a doorway beneath each window. The interior has not been inspected.
