SW 73 NE ST GLUVIAS TRELUSWELL

1/138 Former brewery at SW776357 (part of the premises of Gainsborough Fire- places) GV II

Brewery. Circa early C19. Killas and granite rubble walls with granite dressings. Grouted scantle slate roof with gable ends sweeping lower at rear and with large slate-hung oast-house flue over roof at rear left. Plan: Rectangular plan. Exterior: 3 storeys. Unaltered 7-window (first floor) front with original barred windows with internal wooden shutters. Doorway under third from left window. Second floor loading doorway with gabled hoist over, left of middle. Old ledged doors. Interior: not inspected but likely to have its original floors and roof structures and possibly some fittings surviving from its use as a brewery.
