Description

Gluvian Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the late 18th century, with alterations made around the mid 19th century and a few later changes. It is constructed of stone rubble with stone dressings and has a slate roof featuring ridge tiles and gable ends. The farmhouse has gable end stacks with brick shafts.

The building has a double depth plan, with a central entrance leading to principal rooms on the front left and right, a kitchen at the rear left, and an unheated dairy at the rear right. The exterior is two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-window front. All the windows are 19th-century four-pane sashes with flat stone arches and keystones. There is a central 19th-century gabled and glazed porch with a half-glazed margin-glazed door on the right side. The right side of the farmhouse features a two-light casement window for the dairy at ground floor level, with a segmental brick arch above it, and a margin-glazed sash window at first floor level to the right. The interior has not been inspected.
